Annual International SPA Association Conference & Expo to Return to Las Vegas

April 18, 2011

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The International SPA Association is returning to Las Vegas, Nev. for the 21st annual ISPA Conference & Expo, November 7-9, 2011. This can’t miss event for spa industry professionals will be held at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. This year’s theme of Believe will resonate with attendees through special sessions with Zappos, the online retail company that is known for their superior customer service and emulated work culture.

Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos will close out the ISPA Conference during the Wednesday, November 9 General Session. He will speak to attendees about the different ingredients used by Zappos.com to build a long-lasting enduring brand, including the importance of customer service and company culture. Hsieh will talk about how focusing on delivering happiness to customers and employees has enabled the company to expand beyond selling shoes to clothing, bags and other product categories.

Hsieh and Zappos know a thing or two about workplace happiness and Fortune magazine agrees by placing the company on their annual Best Companies to Work For list. In his best-selling book Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion and Purpose Hsieh shares how a very different kind of corporate culture is a powerful model for achieving success – and how by concentrating on the happiness of those around you, you can dramatically increase your own.

For the first time attendees will be able to attend a special Masters Session on Sunday, Nov. 6 with Zappos Insights’ Product Manager Robert Richman. This high-level educational experience will focus on improving your company’s culture. Richman will teach attendees exactly how to create world-class service and culture in their companies. Attendees can sign-on for the Masters Session when registering for the ISPA Conference & Expo.

“We are excited to have Tony Hsieh return for the second time to the ISPA stage, said ISPA President Lynne McNees. “This time he’ll be solo and sharing how he helped Zappos become a place where everyone wants to work. With the Masters Session and Tony’s keynote address our attendees will be able to create a Zappos-like working culture in their businesses.”

New speakers and educational sessions are being added to the 2011 Conference & Expo lineup every day; be sure to check out the full agenda. A listing of exhibitors, many of whom will be launching new products on the Expo floor, will be available soon. To register for the 2011 ISPA Conference & Expo visit ISPA2011.com.
