January 28, 2020

The International SPA Association (ISPA) is pleased to announce Wharton professor and bestselling author Adam Grant as the second-day keynote speaker for the 2020 ISPA Conference & Expo. This annual event, celebrating its 30th anniversary October 14 – 16, will welcome spa professionals from around the world as they experience a mix of inspiring keynote speakers, professional educational sessions and an Expo floor highlighting the latest spa products.

As an organizational psychologist, Grant studies how we can find motivation and meaning to lead more generous and creative lives. Grant has been recognized as Wharton’s top-rated professor for seven straight years and named one of the world’s 10 most influential management thinkers.

In 2016, Grant’s TED talk on original thinkers and givers received a standing ovation and was voted the audience’s favorite speaker at The Nantucket Project. Since then, this talk has been viewed more than 16 million times worldwide.

“Adam’s message on creating a culture of productive generosity will encourage us as leaders to rethink how we help others success and is the perfect addition to ISPA’s 30th anniversary celebration,” said ISPA President Lynne McNees.

Grant is the author of three New York Times best-selling books; Give and Take, Originals and Option B. His books have sold over a million copies, translated into 35 languages and been praised by J.J. Abrams, Richard Branson, Bill and Melinda Gates and Malcolm Gladwell. In addition to consulting for clients such as Google, the NBA, and the Gates Foundation, Grant also hosts a TED talk original podcast titled “WorkLife”.

Immediately following his keynote speech, Grant will host a book signing for ISPA attendees. The final keynote speaker for the 2020 ISPA Conference & Expo will be announced at a later date. More information on this event, as well as registration information can be found on attendispa.com.
