ISPA RECOGNIZES CLODAGH AS A VISIONARY FOR THE SPA INDUSTRY
LEXINGTON, Ky. – A world-renowned leader in architectural design will be honored during the 2007 International SPA Association’s Conference & Expo, Nov. 12-15 in Kissimmee, Florida, United States. Clodagh, founder of Clodagh Design International, is the recipient of the ISPA 2007 Visionary Award. Her company includes Clodagh Design, an architectural and interior design studio; Clodagh Signature, a licensing and product design division; and Clodagh Collection, a gallery and retail showroom.
“Without a doubt, Clodagh is one of the most innovative voices in the design world,” said ISPA Chairman Jim Root. “Clodagh’s vision of incorporating feng shui and sustainable practices into her groundbreaking designs continues to raise the bar globally for spa design.”
The ISPA Visionary Award is given to an active ISPA member who has contributed significantly toward both the definition and positive movement of health and wellness over the lifetime of their career. Clodagh had the following to share about being chosen as the recipient of the ISPA 2007 Visionary Award: “…There’s nothing better than being honored by ones peers!”
Since she was 17, when she began her own couture clothing line, Clodagh has had a passion for making sure everything one sees is beautiful. In her career, she has earned numerous awards including Interior Design’s Top 100 Interior Designers in America. She was named one of the world’s leading interior designers by Architectural Digest and inducted into the Interior Designer Hall of Fame. She has been listed in Robb Report’s Top 40 Interior Designers in the World. Additionally, she received the IFC Circle of Excellence Award for Enlightened Design, and the 2006 Women in Design Award. In its third printing, Clodagh has a bestselling book, “Total Design,” which is a retrospective of her design work.
Clodagh will receive the ISPA 2007 Visionary Award during the General Session on Wednesday, Nov. 14. Recent past recipients of ISPA’s Visionary Award include Sylvia Sepielli, owner and president of Sylvia Planning And design (SPAd Inc); John E.
