Fun Fact

I'm considered a military brat. I was born in Okinawa and my father served in the U.S. Army. I've always been proud of how my parents navigated overseas duty with three little girls. Fast forward - some of my most treasured memories from serving at The White House were all the opportunities to learn from the U.S. Military. Each year, the White House Fellows would experience a military trip, like spending the night on an aircraft carrier via an arrested landing and then catapult takeoff in a fighter jet to an assimilated war in the Nevada desert sleeping on a humvee under the stars after arriving via a caravan of Huey helicopters. The dedication and sacrifice I was able to witness firsthand continues to make me proud and grateful to be an American.
