Job Description

The Spa Supervisor ("Supervisor/a de Spa") develops and supervises staff to ensure the highest level of professionalism, gracious service and treatment quality is offered to our guests. Provides a positive, professional appearance and demeanor to our guests. Creates a learning environment by supervising on-going education. Understands various treatment modalities and industry trends. Develops and schedules outdoor Spa related activities. Serves as a liaison with other departments to ensure a seamless business operation. Assists Assistant Spa Director and Spa Director in the interviewing, hiring, and developing of staff. Supervises attendants and receptionists. Maintains current credentials and licenses as required by city, county, and state regulatory agencies. Ensures the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation for the department. Ensures the facilities are well maintained. Manages the reservation system effectively. Trains and follows the company's safety and emergency procedures. Must be able to listen and respond to guest complaints, verbally and in writing. Undertakes other responsibilities as directed. Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assisting Assistant Spa Director in interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Requirements

•Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. •Previous spa experience with conducting inventories, selling retail, creating schedules and scheduling appointments required. •Knowledgeable of spa services, products and trends. •Knowledgeable of the laws and regulations of spa operations. •Exceptional time management, communication and customer service skills. •Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. •Excellent attention to details and ability to lead the staff in upholding our service and safety standards. •Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. •Previous supervisory, coaching and training experience helpful. •Friendly, professional and dependable.
