Job Description

Oversee hiring and training for both Skin Care and Massage Departments, uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures, promote and provide professional spa treatments to members and guests. Oversee and monitor all facets of spa treatment operations including skin care, massage and body work • Responsible for interviewing, training and the supervision of massage therapists and estheticians • Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures for spa treatment operations and revise as needed • In coordination with Human Resources, maintain and update job descriptions, as needed for all spa treatment positions. In addition, submit JVR/PAF/TAF's when applicable. • Assist in the development of collateral material for treatment areas

Job Requirements

Two years supervisory experience in high quality, luxury-oriented resort and/or spa facility • Experience in managing at least 10 people • Proficient in use of massage therapy or esthetic products and knowledge of techniques • Georgia Licensed Esthetician (minimum of 1500 hours of cosmetology school, 1000 hours of esthetician school and/or 2000 apprentice hours) AND/OR Georgia Licensed massage therapist with diploma (minimum of 500 hours, 1000 hours preferred) • Strong administration and management skills, including experience with operating budgets • Work collaboratively with spa operation supervisor, salon supervisor, spa manager and fitness manager • Facilitate and supervise on-going program development • Work collaboratively with vendors to schedule training sessions for massage and estheticians at least twice a year • Conduct preshift meetings with service provider team on a daily basis to ensure company information as well as internal items are being communicated • Hold massage and estheticians accountable for retail sales and ensure presciption forms are being used effectively with each guest • Conduct Proactive Coaching sessions for massage and estheticians two times per year • Recommend, create and execute special projects and promotions • Maintain knowledge and understanding of current thinking in spa treatment trends and ensure treatment programs are continually updated and current • Research and suggest new treatments and products to the Director • Complete time edits and PTO requests for massage & estheticians each payroll period • Collaborate with the Assitant Spa Director and Spa Group Coordinator to develop, assist and maintain schedules for all treatment staff to ensure adequate staffing for group and social business • Ensure treatment facilities and equipment is clean, in proper condition and good working order • Report broken equipment to Engineering staff through HOTSOS to ensure repairs are made timely and satisfactorily • Complete GPR's to ensure other outlets are aware of any guest/member challenges that occurred in the spa • Serve as Sea Island Lobby Ambassador when schedule dictates • Conduct linen inventory each month and assist admininstrative assistant in inventory control of all treatment areas • Participate in public relation events, if necessary • Serve as the Spa Leader on Duty at least twice a month to ensure weekends are covered • Conduct training sessions for SINC agents and other front facing team members campus wide • Learn the names and personally recognize our regular guests and members
