Job Description

The Spa Manager is responsible for, but not limited to, the direct daily supervision of spa employees for two boutique-sized locations in the Lahaina area. In addition, this Spa Manager will deliver transformational spa experiences through the development, training, and ongoing evaluation of service and retail protocols for each location. This position is hands-on, requiring the manager to work a flexible schedule and engage in the spa's daily operational activities. This position is ideal for an energetic professional who is ready to grow their career with one of Hawaii's largest spa operators. Essential functions include, but are not limited to: Providing direct supervision and support for spa employees through routine in-person visits to Maui locations Delivering induction and refresher trainings for new and existing spa employees Preparing and managing work schedules Personally covering shifts as required Collaborating with regional spa director on the development and delivery of service and operational protocols Maintaining awareness of industry trends, attending events and trainings as required Developing and reviewing quality control measures and ensure employee accountability Coordinating and providing ongoing training for retail promotions Creating solutions for employees, guests, and resort hosts through phone calls and personal interactions Provide daily briefings to all spa employees on shift and attend meetings as required Perform MOD support to all spa employees on a rotation basis, providing support as required Flexible work schedule, including weekends The Spa Manager will report directly to the Regional Spa Director.

Job Requirements

Requirements: Previous leadership experience in the resort or day spa industry Current CPR/AED certification Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Proficient in English (verbal and written) Must be willing to work a flexible schedule Must understand current Hawaii laws for massage therapists and estheticians Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Strong computer literacy to include Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and spa booking programs Strong aptitude and knowledge of spa therapies and spa products, including traditional and indigenous
