Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager/Director of Operations, directly responsible for Spa Providers and the overall quality and consistency of the treatments and services offered. Must be knowledgeable of all aspects of the facility. Direct all efforts toward guest satisfaction, the achievement and maintenance of Sorrel River Ranch standards and profit maximization. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 1. Adhere to all standard policies and procedures. 2. Perform all guest activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner, at all times maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction. 3. Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with management and fellow associates in all Sorrel River Ranch departments. Help achieve our common goals of maximizing guest satisfaction and profit margins. 4. Maintain a positive attitude toward Sorrel River Ranch, co-workers and the job being performed. 5. Report to work on time. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 1. Will interview, hire and supervise Spa Providers including Massage Therapists, Estheticians, Nail Technicians, Fitness and Yoga Instructors. 2. Will train Massage Therapists, Estheticians, and Nail Technicians on protocols for all of the services that each discipline will provide. 3. Stay within payroll budget guidelines. Perform reduction of provider hours based on business needs. 4. Coordinate with the Adventures Team to implement relevant wellness activities for Ranch guests. 5. Assist the Sales Manager and Lodge Front Desk with technician scheduling for individuals and groups. 6. Maintain all spa equipment in good working order. Complete regular walk-thrus to identify areas of need. This includes regular deep cleaning of equipment and treatment areas. 7. Communicate engineering and housekeeping needs to the appropriate areas on a consistent basis to maintain a clean and well functioning spa. 8. As appropriate, develop new and innovative spa services with proper implementation that are successful and profitable. 9. Maintain product supply and equipment at the highest possible level. 10. Conduct monthly meetings with all areas of responsibility. 11. Develop and institute necessary rules and policies in areas needed. 12. Administer annual performance appraisals. 13. Prepare and maintain operations manuals for treatments. 14. Perform public relations lectures and/or demonstrations for Ranch guests and other potential local market opportunities. 15. Stay current on professional developments within the spa industry. 16. Perform spa services as needed. 17. Perform any reasonable tasks assigned by supervisor or manager. WORK SCHEDULE: 1. The Spa functions 8-10 hours per day, 7 days a week. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at times it may be necessary to change an associate from their usual shift as business needs change. 2. Weekend work schedules are a part of this position. 3. Based on business needs, weekly work schedules may change.

Job Requirements

1. Current Utah Massage Therapist and/or Cosmetology/Esthetician, Nail Technician license is REQUIRED. 2. Previous experience working in a spa supervisory position is required (minimum 2 years). 3. Previous experience working in a spa setting (day or resort) required (minimum 3 years). 4. Strong skills in Google Docs. 5. Ability to learn the spa scheduling system. 6. Ability to multi-task.
