Join our team: Under the direction of Spa Director, Spa Manager is responsible for creating and managing spa budget which involves setting annual financial goals, reviewing costs for spa procedures and services, overseeing payroll and establishing budgets for advertising, marketing, and promotional events. Spa Manager will work with Spa Director to be creating promotional events to raise public awareness and visibility of the spa and its services to generate sales and increase future memberships. Spa Manager will assist Spa Director in creating membership incentives and sales promotions leading to a larger client base. General Responsibilities: • Spa Manager will oversee all service aspects of the spa operation. • Core duties include managing staff, overseeing facility maintenance, working with Spa Director to develop budgets and create marketing and promotions campaigns. • Spa Manager is responsible for ensuring that guests’ expectations are met. • Spa Manager is responsible for handling customer complaints and creating guest service tools such as comment cards and surveys. • Spa Manager is responsible for recruiting, hiring and training Spa staff members to deliver an excellent level of service. • Spa Manager is responsible employee schedules, ongoing employee training and staff meetings to keep employees updated on spa procedures and policies. • Spa Manager is responsible for meeting state and county sanitation guidelines making sure that facilities are properly cleaned, all equipment is in working order, tools are adequately sterilized, linens are washed and a proper inventory of supplies is maintained. Desired Skills and Experiences: • Strong verbal, written and critical thinking skills • Detailed oriented with strong time management skills • Ability to anticipate the types of services that guests would most enjoy and benefit from and implement these types of services at Spa Relais. Guest service, problem-solving and interpersonal skills are essential. • Knowledge of Spa software involving scheduling, time blocking, guest preference data collection, accounting software, Excel and Word. • Knowledge of employment laws and federal and state regulations addressing spas and licensing requirements for massage therapists and other workers is important. Education Required: • Bachelor’s degree in business management, hospitality management or business administration. • Coursework or a background in massage therapy, cosmetology or health, and wellness.
