Solace Spa at Big Sky Resort is seeking a Spa Manager. Our Spa Manager will lead the spa team in delivering and developing the Solace Spa vision that provides excellence within the spa and hospitality industry. The Spa Manager is responsible for financial budgets and outcomes, maintaining targeted goals, growing new business opportunities, developing the market, and conducting Human Resources activities. They will strive to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the spa. Responsibilities Ensure smooth and consistent daily operations of the spa, ensuring all spa policies and procedures are followed and maintained to the highest standards. Responsible for the preparation and subsequent achievement of the Solace Spa operating budget. Help develop long and short-term goals by monitoring and controlling expenses within approved budget. Closely monitor business reports; NPS, Revenue and Labor Reports on a daily basis and make decisions accordingly. Manage on-going profitability through monitoring of daily business reports of NPS, revenue and labor of the Solace Spa to ensure revenue, controlled expenses and guest satisfaction targets are met. Ensure full compliance to spa operating controls, SOP’s, Boyne Standards Audits, policies, procedures and service standards. Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved. Stays up to date on spa industry trends to identify new products and product enhancements to remain competitive in the market including building and selecting creative vendors for spa retail offerings. Oversee recruitment, training & development of all spa team members as well as managing human resources related requirements pertaining to forms, payroll, communication, time off requests and schedules. Develop recruitment packet for effective recruiting, screenings, interviewing, and hiring. Hold regular meetings with spa team to ensure goals, objectives, policies, procedures and/or pertinent information is communicated to the spa team. Coordination with the greater lodging team to ensure excellent guest service is provided as well as a great team member experience. Ensure that staffing is maintained at an appropriate level to match business demand. Lead by example and be a mentor for all spa team members. Develop and maintain compensation guidelines for customer complaint handling. Exhibit a professional attitude, diplomacy and an ability to handle difficult situations. Updates and manages SpaSoft.
Qualifications Minimum of 2-3 years leadership experience in hospitality environment. Proficient with hospitality software, computers, and technology and ability to learn new software systems and programs. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel required. Must be friendly, knowledgeable, and professional and possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, organization, detail oriented, a sense of urgency, critical thinking and planning and problem solving skills. Candidate must maintain a drive for excellence and consistent strong performance. Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at once and adapt to changing situations. Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment.
