Job Description

Summary: Overall management and performance of the Spa, ensuring the highest luxury resort standards of professionalism, customer service and optimum financial performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Development and implementation of annual budget and business plan for the Spa, in conjunction with the General Manager and property goals. • Achievement and regular review of the business plan and budget once approved. • Preparation of monthly financial and statistical reports for the General Manager, incorporating proposals and recommendations regarding policy and operation at the Spa, competition, occupancy and usage, market share and achievement of targets. • Establishing and ensuring a cost-effective wage structure based on productivity and efficiency. • Liaison with sales and marketing management in the preparation and development of marketing plans for the year. Coordinate all promotional plans and projects for the spa facility, • including locals programs, hotel packages and social group programs, etc. • Participate in familiarization tours, pre-con meetings, and serve as a resource to the hotel sales team for inclusion of spa in all group rooms contracts. • Participate in local events and promotions (athletic events, fundraisers, etc.) • Provide leadership, direction, and support to the employees at the Spa to develop a highly motivated team, who can deliver ambitious service and sales standards in all areas. • Effectively integrate the Spa within the property marketing strategy and ensure ongoing representation of the Spa, both internally and externally. • Provide all hotel departments with periodic spa education, incentives, and promotion, including Sales, F&B, Wait Staff, Front Office, Bell, etc. • Develop an annual training plan for the Spa, in conjunction with the HR Department and ensure that all employees are trained and developed to meet the needs of the business. • Monitor standards of performance and member satisfaction and introduce measures to ensure the highest standards of quality and service. • Lead the planning and implementation of marketing activities within the Spa. • Manage spa retail program, including new product research and selection, purchasing and inventory. • Responsible for the health and safety of guests, employees and members in the Spa and adhere to policies and procedures. • Ensure that good practices are applied to all issues in relation to employees and in conjunction with the HR Department, to assure that all property policies and procedures are followed. • Provide an effective structure for communication within the Spa at all levels. • Complete any other job duties assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervise all Spa Department employees. Responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: • Qualified candidates will possess in-depth spa financial acumen, experience managing day-to-day luxury spa resort operations, HR, health & safety compliance standards, • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel); scheduling appointments/updating calendars a must. • Demonstrated leadership, communication and team building skills • Self-directed and able to work without supervision • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas • Excellent time management and prioritization skills Education and/or Experience: • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college; or 6-8 years in spa operations with at least 3-4 years as Spa Manager or Assistant Manager at a luxury spa. • Spa experience within a luxury hotel environment is a plus.
