The Lake House is the first hotel of its kind on the banks of Canandaigua Lake. The property’s picturesque buildings and landscaped grounds are the perfect settings to make new, lasting memories of outdoor adventures and romantic getaways. There will be 124 impeccably designed guest rooms, a timber frame event barn, an outdoor pool, a destination spa, and a world-class wellness center. There will also be a new signature restaurant, Rose Tavern, featuring locally-sourced ingredients and stellar wines from the Finger Lakes, as well as the return of the locally beloved lakeside Sand Bar.
The Lake House spa director will be responsible for opening and staffing a new spa at our new resort. There after they will be responsible for the day to day running of the spa. This includes, but is not limited to, managing, supervising, and overseeing all spa operations. It will be his/her responsibility to ensure the achievement of financial goals, business objectives, and profitability. The spa director will monitor payroll and expenditures to successfully achieve spa profit plan. He/she will review financial data, prepare management reports, and perform administrative functions accurately and timely. They should be able to utilize effective recruiting techniques to attract and hire qualified frontline practitioners and support managers. The spa director is further responsible for projecting a positive image within the facility, maintaining an atmosphere of cooperative teamwork that emphasizes customer service and satisfaction. He/she must ensure a clean, safe working environment by enforcing safety, maintenance, and cleanliness procedures. The ideal candidate will have: 5 managerial experience in a hotel rooms division or health/beauty spa environment; at least 5 years customer service experience; prior experience managing teams of 10+; prior training experience; excellent leadership/management skills; ability to sell concepts and ideas to management, peers, and employees; demonstrated success in revenue achievement and expense management; experience in budget development and financial analysis; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and high standards in ethics, service, and the culture of the Lake House.
