KOSA is a unique, Ayurvedic spa that offers a multi-sensory spa experience blended with holistic wellness based in the ancient wisdom of life, originating in India over 5,000 years ago. Each season, we carefully select fresh, organic, seasonal ingredients offered for inside and outside the body, with our Ayurvedic kitchen menu and body products. Our offerings will include massages and facials, personal day retreats, and Ayurvedic wellness consultations. Our 4,500 square foot facility is located within the historic Garver Feed Mill on Madison's east side. Our space includes 7 private treatment rooms, hydrotherapy, a large, open treatment room, sauna, steam room, meditation studio, large sanctuary lounge, showers/locker area, and boutique.

Job Description

KOSA is searching for someone who want to share their gifts to serve the mission of bringing greater connection and happiness to those who visit us, and amongst ourselves. Our ideal Spa Attendant would be a healer at heart. Be a strong communicator and show great empathy with guests. We are seeking individuals who possess a soulful, authentic sense of self, as well as a healthy and well-maintained appearance and proper grooming. Embodying the KOSA brand, our Spa Attendants will be on a journey, seeking inner balance and connection. Therefore, desiring to live an Ayurvedic lifestyle. Requirements for Spa Attendants: Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality Excellent communication and listening skills Must be a team player Possess individual core values that align with KOSA Spa Embrace working in an environment where standards are 5-star in service Experience working in a spa and/or hospitality environment preferred Knowledge of Ayurveda and interest to learn along the way Available to work between the hours of 8 am-8 pm, have flexibility in work scheduling, and are available to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays Must have exceptional time management Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Work collaboratively with Spa Director and entire Spa Team Maintain a professional and clean appearance as stated in the KOSA operations manual Ensure equipment is maintained and in good working order Support KOSA’s financial goals by suggesting return appointments and retail offerings Anticipate, identify and ensure guest needs are being met in the best possible way, handling them with compassion and respect Exhibit a professional attitude, poise, diplomacy and an ability to handle difficult situations Kind, caring, present and mindful connection with clients and colleagues Embrace environmental sustainability, committing to KOSA’s green practices Issue spa lockers, robes and slippers to guests and then escort guests to their lockers Provide orientation tour, explaining spa amenities offered and answering guests’ questions Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized spa environment through consistent monitoring of the Inner Sanctum/Locker Rooms/Hydrotherapy/Community areas Stock locker room supplies and amenities and maintain accurate supply lists and inventory sheets Maintain and restock laundry and spa sandals Review guest appointments/schedules as needed Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available Maintain eye contact when addressing external and internal guests Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction Maintain a lost and found collection Develop ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned post for extended periods of time Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention KOSA is a digital-free and silent spa. It's essential that our staff embrace and embody the benefits of this quiet standard so that all guests and staff are able to return to one's true nature while in the sanctuary of KOSA.
