Job Description

Presidian Hotels & Resorts is seeking a results-oriented Health and Wellness Director for The Springs Resort and Spa, located in beautiful Pagosa Springs, Colorado. This person needs to be passionate about health & wellness and have the abilities necessary to build a program unique to The Springs Resort. The position will require creativity and professional experience in order to create a program that cannot be found or replicated at any other resort. This person will utilize the geothermal hot springs as well as our natural surroundings to build a robust Health & Wellness program. This position will oversee daily business operations of the spa, as well as recruit and train staff, to provide guests with excellent service. This position will be responsible for developing a program and amenities over the next two years enabling The Springs to become one of the top Health and Wellness resorts in the US. This position will be responsible for coordinating programs that will engage resort guests, annual pass holders, and day guests through related activities, programs and events. The Health & Wellness director works to ensure strong employee and guest engagement is carried out with consistency. This position includes modeling professional behavior, leading small group training sessions, and private sessions. They are to provide inspiring and strategic leadership while directing the activities of the property in support of the mission, core values, standards and goals established by The Springs Resort

Job Requirements

Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following: • Establishes new health and wellness program activities and expands program(s) within the resort • Develops and manages the budgets related to the program. Meets fiscal objectives. Closely monitors revenue and expense. • Compiles program statistics and provides data and reports as required for assigned program(s). • Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program(s). • Develops, produces and distributes program information necessary to promote assigned programs in accordance with branch marketing plans. • Hire, train, motivate, direct, and evaluate the spa staff. • Ensure the cleanliness of the spa facilities and working operation of all spa equipment • Ensures high quality programs through innovative program development evaluations and on-going training of staff. • Knowledge and understanding of all spa services and product line. • Oversees merchandising functions within venue, including store display, inventory, tracking/analyzing, merchandise purchasing, par levels and pricing, merchandise/materials sourcing. • Directs and manages the development, operations and growth of assigned program area(s). Recruits, hires, trains, evaluates and supervises assigned staff and volunteers in assigned areas. Provides development and leadership. • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as public speaking. The ability to write, edit, post, and promote content for our website. • Ensures that safety procedures are followed and that all programs are in compliance with all regulations and other applicable standards. • Ensures upkeep of related facilities and equipment. • All other duties as assigned, planned or unplanned • Directs and manages the development, operations and growth of assigned program area(s).
