Job Description

Position Summary To oversee the management direction and development of the beauty, body, boutique, front desk and guest service departments. Develops, monitors, and reviews all staffing, scheduling, operations and guest service satisfaction. Essential Functions Operations Management: · Hold regular staff meetings to keep staff up to date on all aspects of the Spa’s operation · Create and enforce spa business objectives and goals · Respond to and execute protocols in handling emergencies and other major issues involving guests, employees or the facility · Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and providers · Manage and update guest service guidelines and ensure compliance · Attend management meetings and convey all relevant information throughout the spa · Manage the property, ensuring at all times compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations · Oversee the day to day operations of all facilities and departments of the spa · Delegate job duties and responsibilities to all guest service related departments to assure efficient and consistent guest service Marketing Management: · Guide business decisions by tracking and researching spa industry trends · Maintain a strong menu of effective services with both exceptional artistic and aesthetic value · Consistently develop and grow retail sales through training, tools and monitoring · Observe merchandising of retail products; make suggestions for change and improvements · Oversee the development of gracious and efficient front desk procedures and assure consistency of service is maintained · Keep abreast of and review marketing promotions and collateral within the spa produced by the marketing and graphics department · Contribute to the consistent increase in revenue Guest Service Management: · Anticipate, identify and ensure guest needs are being met in the best possible way · Monitor guest satisfaction with personal interaction with the guests in addition to their comments offered on the guest surveys · Guide staff to become caring problem solvers, cooperative, accommodating and fair · Create an operating environment to ensure the highest level of personalized customer service and maximize guest satisfaction · Meet, greet and entertain guests · Host dinners and other special events as appropriate · Maintain a consistent guest correspondence program · Handle guest complaints and comments; address problems and troubleshooting · Be proficient in the operation of the contact management database, scheduling programs and timekeeping programs

Job Requirements

Position Qualifications Education/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality management preferred Knowledge: Knowledge of sales and marketing, food and beverage, and spa operations; Strong guest relations knowledge; Budgeting and revenue knowledge; Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint Experience: Experience as a General Manager, Resort Manager or Hotel Manager in a leading luxury resort or hotel including at least five (5) years’ experience in a senior management role. Skills/Abilities: Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills; well versed in Excel and Word; Strong organizational skills and detail oriented; Ability to understand when confidentiality is necessary; Ability to get along with co-workers and work as a team; Ability to react quickly to resolve problems or conflict; Able to handle high stress in the work environment and turn it into positive energy in the department Availability: Able to work hours that include weekdays, weekends, nights and/or holidays
