Job Description

MISSION OF THE POSITION The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing strategic business relationships in the Spa industry and department stores. The Business Development Manager will work closely with the Marketing and Education team to implement business development initiatives that maximize and grow Valmont partnership. The Business Development Manager will be accountable for sales growth and long-term relationship management within a defined region. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage a portfolio of existing SPA, hotel and retail clients:  Find ways to develop turnover (promotions, events…) according to client type  Present new products  Manage inventory & oversee orders  Conduct best merchandising practices (location, potential expansion…)  Visit local department store counters on a regular basis Setup successful prospection:  Identify potential partners for the brand in the territory  Conduct cold calling and first lead approach  Introduce the brands in face to face or virtually.  Close the opening process, with help of Training or Sales Manager  Manage new openings and liaise with Valmont departments to coordinate all events (training, marketing…) Other Responsibilities:  Conduct excellent competitor monitoring: o In the SPA network o In department stores  Draft recommendations on best tools, processes or local developments to be implemented locally (in North America) or on an international level  Apply merchandising recommendations edited by the corporate office to local department store customers  Make recommendations on potential media campaigns on a local basis  Be a local contact person to animate the territory, with targeted events sponsoring or any new idea  Be a local contact person for any event supervision  Participate to sales & marketing national sales meeting

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATIONS Traveling: o travel required for meetings, events and prospection within assigned territory. 50-75% travel required. o Once or twice per year across north-america Direct hierarchy: Regional Sales Director – West US
