The Assistant Manager, Spa forms part of the Rooms Management Department and assists in providing the leadership and management of the Spa Department. The Assistant Manager, Spa provides cutting edge advice and makes key strategic and operational decisions for the Spa department with regards to treatments and philosophies. Creating, developing and implementing of Spa and Wellness treatments and concepts, demonstrating effective retail management, supervises personnel such as massage therapists, estheticians, locker room attendants, nail technicians and hair stylists.
We are looking for individuals who are strategic, proactive and who have a proven track record in both sales and marketing of the Spa. Applicants need to evidence the understanding of market trends and need to put together sound business plans. They have a creative flair to create a tasteful spa environment, have good communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate effective leadership. Applicants are required to have at least two years previous employment in a related position. Spa Management or Hospitality Education is preferable, however, not essential if applicants have previous relevant work experience.
