Job Description
POSITION: Assistant Spa Manager DEPARTMENT: Spa
REPORTS TO: Director of Spa
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Spa Line Level Employees
BASIC
PURPOSE: Manages and oversees the operations and development of the spa in accordance with Four Seasons standards, Spa mission statement and local cultural practices. Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff. Assists Spa Director with managing financial aspects of the operation including forecasting, labor, budgeting, purchasing and inventory control. Assists Spa Director in the planning and launch of PR events, and internal and local promotions.
EDUCATION: College education or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years supervisory or management experience in a luxury spa. Thorough knowledge of people development, exceptional service, cost control, labor control, general accounting, menu design and retail.

ABILITIES: Proven ability to motivate and develop individuals and the team. Excellent communication skills. Sound business acumen. Passion for the health and wellness industry. Ability to read, write and English.

Job Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Spa Assistant Manager or Spa Supervisor or similar role. Strong English language skills and communication skills, written and verbal Professional presentation Ability to work with maximum accuracy Efficiency and attention to detail, maintaining a keen sense of urgency at all times Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment, must be self-directed, motivated and demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and openly in all interactions Ability to actively demonstrate initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity Excels in a team environment The ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data Advanced computer skills Knowledge of Book 4 Time or similar Spa Software Strongly preferred: 5 Star experience highly preferred Luxury experience Training in Forbes standards of service preferred
