An aesthetician at Courtyard by Marriott Santa Cruz will be able to learn and perform facial services, exfoliating treatments, and waxing services. The position is an hourly plus a commission. When the aesthetician is not performing treatments, they are expected to help with general tasks within the facility. Adheres to Corporate Policy and property standards for guest service. -Performs services as per training in the time allotted. -Carefully reviews guest intake forms and check for contraindications -Refers guest problems or complaints to spa manager. -Provides guests with professional skin care services including various types of facials, body treatments, waxing and possibly makeup. -Performs professional recommendations of retail products for each guest on a guest recommendation form. -Educates guests about individual skin care needs and other services available. -Maintains clean and neat workstation during shift; leaves room clean for next shift. Restocks products and linens during shift as assigned. -Cleans and sterilizes equipment as necessary. -Keeps thorough records for each guests in spa software along with recommendations and notes -Reports inventory needs to Spa Manager. -Maintains supplies in wax and facial room as per assignment.
-Must hold a valid California State Cosmetology license or a California State Aesthetics license -Must be able to learn and perform the menu developed -Must consistently make professional skincare retail recommendations to every guest based on their needs -Must be able to work some nights and weekends as the facility is open 365 days per year
