The International SPA Association (ISPA) is excited to announce that its official publication, Pulse magazine, has won a 2017 APEX Award for Publication Excellence. In the category Magazine, Journals & Tabloids – Print +32 pages, the May 2016 Issue, Making Spas Pet-Friendly, stood out as one of the best in the business. The issue was edited by Mae Mañacap-Johnson, with design and art direction by Marja Walker.
Now in its 29th year, the APEX Awards program is an international competition that recognizes excellence in publications work by professional communicators. APEX honorees are selected based on excellence in graphic design, quality of editorial content and overall communications effectiveness. The 2017 APEX judging process was extremely competitive, with almost 1,400 entries submitted for consideration.
“We are so honored to be recognized for the quality content in Pulse with a prestigious APEX Award,” said ISPA President Lynne McNees. “As the leading spa industry trade publication for more than 25 years, we remain dedicated to providing a valuable resource that continues to rank as an important benefit to International SPA Association members.”
