Description of Offering:
Primordial Sound meditation allows you to embark on an inner journey to experience the quiet that already exists within you and reconnect to your spirit. Through this place of stillness you will find the birthplace of happiness, creativity and possibilities.
The offering has it's roots in ancient practices.
Ayurveda (Ancient India)
Dr. Deepak Chopra & Dr. David Simon (India)
The origins of this practice come from the yoga tradition in ancient India. Thousands of years ago, the rishis or (seers of India) cognized that the universe has it’s own sounds, which change with the cycle of the moon. These primordial sounds can be considered the basic vibrations of nature such as the sound of wind through the trees, the waves crashing on the shore or rain falling on the ground. Using ancient Vedic mathematics, the sound of the universe at the time and place of ones birth can be determined. This sound becomes the individual's personal sound 'mantra' and helps one find the connection to who they essentially are. While meditation has been used for thousands of years when Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. David Simon brought this style of meditation to The Chopra Center he gave this style of a meditation a new name of Primordial Sound.
The mantras do not have a particular meaning but are used for their sound or vibration.

One can take a course in Primordial Sound Meditation which is anywhere from 4 hours - 2 days. Once it is learned anyone can practice on their own. This silent, mantra meditation allows one to interrupt the internal dialogue and experience silence. PSM uses a particular sound that was evident at the time of one’s birth. To obtain your individual sound you need to know the date, time and location of your birth. Once you are given your personal mantra is it not to be said out loud.
Find a quiet place and set a time for 30-minutes (do not play music)
Sit comfortably and close your eyes
Begin the silent repetition of your mantra. The mantra is repeated as follows “Om, your mantra, Namaha.”
When distracting thoughts come, bring attention back to the mantra.
It is recommended to meditate twice a day for 30 minutes each time. Meditation is ideally done at the same time each day. Once when you wake and again in the time between work and dinner.
