A financial report, in simple terms, is your success scorecard. "Financial reports provide information on the health of the business. They are your measure of success," says Rose Fernandez. vice president of sales for North America at Jurlique, based in Santa Monica, California.
According to Ben Campsey, chief financial officer at Hilton Head Health in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, being able to understand the financial impact of one's strategies through a better understanding of the financial report fosters an improved decision-making process and allows management to better predict the outcomes of their initiatives. "[Financial reports] can also provide owners with an indication of the value of the business," he adds.
