About the Application Process

Deadline to Submit Application
The deadline to submit an application has passed.
Speaker Selection Process:
Submitted applications will be thoroughly reviewed by the Speaker Selection Task Force, a volunteer committee of International SPA Association members. Following review, select applicants will be contacted for interviews prior to the final selection period. All applicants will be notified of their status by April of 2020.
To ensure selected presentations meet the expectations of the ISPA audience, it is imperative that responses provided in the online application accurately reflect the content that will be covered if selected. Please take great care in developing a proposed session, keeping in mind the following attributes of the ideal ISPA Conference & Expo education session:
  • An ideal presentation will present a topic that is relevant and important to the spa industry
  • An ideal presentation will showcase a deep-dive into the topic to deliver advanced competencies
  • An ideal presentation will be presented with high-energy and dynamic delivery
  • An ideal presentation will offer tangible, concrete deliverables that seasoned industry leaders can implement immediately for positive change
Eligibility to Apply
ISPA accepts applications from both professional speakers and spa industry professionals without regard to their membership status. ISPA takes great pride in providing educational sessions that are highly valuable and led by professional and industry speakers that are motivated to educate and intellectually stimulate the ISPA audience.
As part of the application process, the International SPA Association requests that you identify your honorarium requirements. Failure to mention honorarium requests may delay the selection and notification process.
Speaker Non-commercial Policy:
ISPA does not permit the promotion of products or services during education sessions. The session should be completely educational in nature and not directly or indirectly promote a product or service.

Scheduling of ISPA Conference & Expo Sessions
ISPA Conference Professional Development Sessions are scheduled to provide the best possible flow and balance of the diverse topics offered. Once all selected speakers have accepted their invitation to speak, ISPA will begin scheduling speakers based on topic and speaker availability.
