Esplanade Golf and Country Club Naples is looking for an experienced full-time Spa Manager. This individual must possess strong organizational skills, be able to successfully handle a variety of duties simultaneously, motivate and manage staff, and insure excellent guest and staff experiences. They will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation and administrative functions of an upscale, lifestyle-oriented spa program of the highest quality while maximizing the Club’s profitability and maintaining programs that stay at the leading edge of the spa industry. The primary responsibility of the Spa Manager is to provide leadership, direction and supervision of staff in the daily operations of the Spa, including, but not limited to, Front Desk operations, therapist interactions, and guest experience. Other areas of responsibility also include marketing, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling as well as product inventory and ordering.
Essential Position Functions: • Interview, hire, manage and train staff, including Spa Specialists and Independent Contractors • Create a work environment that promotes positivity, teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction, while creating a culture of excellence, enabling employees to provide superior service to members and guests. • Assure that the spa is operating in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal laws, including ensuring that all required professional licenses are active and on file. • Plan, develop and implement policies, procedures and training programs within the Spa. • Assist in the development of the budget for the spa and create strategies to adhere to the annual budget. • Order and maintain adequate levels of inventory effectively by conducting monthly inventory and develop procedures for accurate inventory control and monitoring. • Maintain all spa transactions through JONAS, including member and guest appointments, revenue tracking and transaction accuracy. • Develop and implement the Spa’s marketing strategy in order to optimize profit and increase non-resident guest traffic. • Create ongoing promotions to stimulate sales of products and services while maintaining a strong menu of services to consistently retain and grow our customer base. • Monitor and evaluate the product offerings of the Club including spa equipment, personnel, and services, recommending additions and/or discontinuation of products and services in addition to consistently developing and growing retail sales through training, tools and monitoring. • Greet members and guests to the spa, overseeing the coordination of all member and guest requests and issues/complaints in a professional, courteous and timely manner. • Attend management meetings and convey all relevant information to staff as needed.
Essential Job Requirements & Skills: • Minimum three (3) years’ related leadership experience in Spa and Salon management. • Must possess strong leadership, management and motivational skills with the ability to interact with associates at all levels within the company and external to the company. • Must have a thorough knowledge of numerous spa modalities, possess a general understanding of body treatments and be willing to train in our specific service offerings. • Strong command of Microsoft Office computer skills and be adaptable to all related company computer systems. • Knowledge of the JONAS and Mindbody systems in a plus but not required. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Must frequently lift and move up to 45 pounds. • Up-to-date knowledge of spa programs and offerings. • Certification and/or Associates Degree a plus. • Hospitality background preferred. • Must be able to pass a background check.
