Position Title/Status: Regional Sales Director, South Central U.S./Exempt Department: Sales Reports to: VP of Sales Date: 01-13-17 SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Incumbent will be accountable for increasing sales through promotion of Universal Companies’ full product range, to defined customer groups or territory. This includes supporting company initiatives and developing all accounts (current and new), by growing existing business as well as prospecting for new business through contacts, relationships, and industry networking events. Incumbent will be responsible for the growth with assigned divisions and/or territory and will be responsible for developing and executing strategic business development plans to meet the established sales budget for each division. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • Responsible and accountable for penetrating and developing business relationships with assigned accounts and/or territory. • Create and implement business development plans for all key accounts. • Utilizes meetings (both phone and in person) to engage customers and promote key initiatives to grow and secure new business opportunities. • Develops agendas and power point presentations to platform identified growth objectives and to launch recommended or new products effectively. • Works to develop strong business relationships with customers to support their business and to identify new business growth opportunities. • Provides excellent customer service to all accounts and works to resolve any issues or challenges in an effective and proactive manner. • Provides VP of Sales weekly updates regarding business development initiatives as well as monthly travel/sales plans and budgetary reports. • Provides overviews of the division on a quarterly basis or as requested. • Uses time effectively to manage processing of orders and account development. • Ability to utilize CRM system to manage customer relationships. • Works with Education and Product Development departments as needed to support accounts. • Attends any requested events, shows or sales opportunities. • May be called on to represent Universal Companies as an industry speaker. • Performs other project work, duties and responsibilities as required or requested. • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position. • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken. • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
