Director of Spas responsibilities include complete oversight for the Red Lane Spa and Fitness Brand for Sandals Resorts International by establishing design standards, providing oversight of marketing (in all digital and media platforms in addition to the Red Lane Spa website and e-commerce portal), creating spa and fitness service standards (operational and treatment protocols), and developing brand specific vendor relationships. This position is responsible for all facilities and development of new builds and remodels for the spa and fitness division in conjunction with the corporate design team. The scope of work additionally includes the product development of professional and retail products for the Red Land Spa brand in addition to the in room amenity program for Sandals and Beaches Resorts. The role is also responsible for the development and incorporation of the Red Lane Institute for spa therapist certification and continuing education training. Finally, the role is responsible for all financial standards and ensuring that all financial revenue and profit goals are met and exceeded.
• Vast knowledge of the global spa industry and the trends within the industry. • Must excel at financials including understanding P&L statements, cost structures and inventory control management. • Vast knowledge of product ingredients and ingredient decks. • Responsible for thorough knowledge of all massages, body services, facials and salon services offered in Red Lane Spas. • Knowledge of retail products associated with each treatment offered in the spas. • Liaise frequently with preferred vendors for products, continuing education. • Establish relationships with key department heads and executives at Sandals Resorts International and Sandals Corporate University. • Ability to establish spa goals (financial and service related) • Ability to train and mentor Spa Managers in global spa trends and how trends can be modified for Caribbean market. • Conduct monthly/weekly meeting with Red Lane executive team and Red Lane Spa Management team. • Fluency in fitness and tennis programming and trends. • Ability to lead a team of regional trainers and provide input for training curricula for Red Lane Institute training, as well as on continuing education and protocol for current therapists.
