We are looking to hire an experienced Assistant Operations Director who will work to continually improve the day to day operations and deliver the highest guest experience. Must have prior or current Supervisory experience in the Food & Beverage/Hotel Industry. The position is based in the Richmond, Virginia area. This position is responsible for assisting the Director in all aspects of staff performance, guest service and day-to-day operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for financial reporting & payroll processing. Along with Director, overseeing all supervisors. Consistently works to increase guest satisfaction through on-going training and analysis of the operations. Attends weekly management meetings. Hire and train staff. Prepares payroll and is responsible for approval. Ensure staff consistently execute the basics in punctuality, dress code compliance, friendliness and cleanliness. Assist in the management of training, payroll budget, scheduling, policies and procedures. Achieve service based revenue goals and facilities maintenance. Ensure guests receive a high-level service experience. Monitor facilities for appearance and equipment. Resolve or escalated issues that detract from the guest experience.
SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS MUST have minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory skills in the Restaurant/Hotel industry. MUST be proficient in financials (budgets, forecasting, payroll). Highly proficient in excel, with excellent time management skills. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be organized, timely and detailed oriented. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Must be reliable and have outstanding customer service skills. Must be able to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
